Before you choose any company to work in your home . . .
we put together a list to help you with your decision whether you choose HandyPro or not.
1. Verify insurance. Workers Compensation Insurance protects you if a worker is injured on your property. Liability Insurance protects you if any of your property is damaged. (If their insurance is not up to date YOU could be liable.)
2. Get all estimates in writing. All warranties and estimates must be in detail. It will help protect you as a consumer and avoid misunderstandings.
3. Check references. Does the company stand behind warranties? Do they actually show up on time? Would previous customers use them again? . . . Ask them.
4. How long has the company been in business? Warranties are as good as the company. If they are out of business, in most cases so is your warranty.
5. Verify license. Check with your state licensing department, (HandyPro can help you locate the phone number). If a license is applicable in your state, they may help protect you in case of faulty workmanship.
