Keith and Debra Paul started HandyPro in 1996 after Debra's grandmother had been ripped off by a contractor. They knew then that they needed to start a business that would help prevent this from happening to other homeowners. Keith and Debra have worked hard to build a company built referrals and inspired by trust. Since 1996 HandyPro has serviced over 20,000 clients and continues to always put their client first. Joe Kawula joined HandyPro in 2000 as a craftsman. Working up through the ranks serving as Operations Manager and continuing to grow the commercial side of our brand, he was appointed Vice-President of HandyPro of Greater Toledo (Nov 2022). With over 30-years of home renovation experience, Joe prioritizes client service at HandyPro. Currently, he’s working to expand the company's commercial sector and supporting craftsmen and franchisees. In his free time, Joe volunteers for youth baseball.

Clayton Carrick is HandyPro’s Assistant Operations Manager, bringing more than 30 years of hands-on experience in facilities management, remodeling, and property maintenance. As a licensed builder for over 25 years, Clayton has worked on everything from electrical and plumbing to large-scale capital projects and team training.

Clayton enjoys finding practical solutions that keep projects on time, on budget, and up to HandyPro’s high-quality standards. He’s also a proud husband and father of two adult children, and outside of work you’ll often find him working on projects around the house or spending time with family.
